New Orleans

Road trip to New Orleans led us through all sorts of interesting sites. We saw lots of working oil wells, lots of bridges, and lots of swamps. We did come across some Hurricane Katrina damage. It was really nice to see many of the buildings and sites that had significant damage have been restored.
I have always found it interesting how the graveyards are all above ground. I just had to take a picture.

Sydney and me having fun at the Audubon Nature Institute:
OH NO! Josh and I were playing like we were getting eaten by a great big mouth shark.
Wilma, Joshua, Sydney, Hope, and Wilma's good friend Holly. We had a great time. It was one of the coolest parties. It was actually in the aquarium. The different foods were served at different animals. Very cool!

They got their faces painted, at a welcoming party for the Acog conference

I decided to take the kids on a swamp tour. We had a few of more friends of the family come and join us. It was quite interesting and a lot of fun. We got to see lots of alligators and turtles.

YES IT IS REAL!!! I HELD A LIVE ALLIGATOR!

Joshua and Sydney in front of the fountain on the river walk
We got to take a day to visit the sites downtown. We are standing in front of the famous St Louis Cathedral.

We had to go visit the French Market in the French Quarters. We found lots of good deals.

Here is Syd and Josh right before we got Beignets at Cafe Du Monde - Original French Market Coffee Stand New Orleans

We got to hang out with our good friend TJ while we were there. He was so cool and the kids really enjoyed looking up to, and imitating EVERYTHING TJ did.

We finely made it home after the very long 9 hour drive home but this is one last picture of the good ole Mississippi River.

Comments:
Hey, Miss Hope! Those are such great pictures! I enjoyed looking at them. :)
Look forward to seeing you soon,
Steph. :)
