Trip Home

I got the opportunity to go home for a few days this month. It was such a special time to get to see old friends, go to a wedding, and to spend some good time with my family. This is a picture of me with my nieces and nephew. The oldest is Gracie, she is 6 years old. Second is Annaliegh, who is 5 years old and the youngest is Samuel who will be 2 in November. I was able to spend the night with them for one night and went swimming with them one day. We had a great time together.
This is a picture of some of my closest friends. We all went out to Olive Garden to eat supper and had lots of laughs together. From left to right. First is Mary, Me, Elissa, Aubrey, Susannah, and Marie. It was GREAT to get to catch up with each other and just enjoy each others company. Girls, when I come home next time we will have to have another big party. Hopefully you will all be in A-town when I come back next time. Thanks for the fun time. Love you all!
This is my mom. Don't you think we look alike? These next two pictures are of our shopping trip to Charlotte. After she and my sisters picked me up at the Charlotte Airport, we went shopping for a day and then spent the night and then went at it again the next day. Thankfully we were shopping on the tax-free weekend! We had so much fun. This is actually a picture of us at supper Italian, my favorite. That night we had a good night, and lots of fun times making memories and just spending time together.
These are my sisters! From left to right is Melody, who is currently a sophomore at Covenant College on Lookout Mountain, GA. Then there is Susannah. She is the best beautician. If you ever need a great haircut, let me know and I can hook you up. Next is Mary Elisabeth. She is the oldest of all of us. She is married to a man named Tim, and is the mother to the three beautiful children pictured above. I had such a great time spending the weekend with all of you. Thanks to everyone for making my first trip home, after being away, a good one. Love you all!!!

Cave

This is a picture of Belton Lake. We live not too far from here. I thought it was much more beautiful than the cornfields. I guess Belton is not as bad as I thought it was. We have been doing a lot of exploring and found that we actually have a library and a waterpark (which I am very excited about) I will post about that when we get a chance to go!
This is a picture of a cave we went to see. We were able to go into it and take a tour of many of the different rooms there. The kids really liked it and we were able to go with some of the neighbor friends. It was good to have some new faces to get to know. I am now grateful for some people to hang out with that have kids Joshua and Sydney's age.
We love to play make-believe. This is Joshua dressed up playing a drum of some sort.
Sydney found so many fun things to take pictures of inside the cave. She wanted pictures of everything. She loves science. We also enjoy doing crafts. This past week I taught the kids how to cross-stitch. Last week we did some mod-podge pots. We have had a good time trying to stay out of the heat. It has been getting up to 100-107 each day and so....we try to find other things to do inside. I hope you are all well. Please post a comment when you get a chance! I would love to hear how everyone is doing!
