Happy Birthday Susannah!

So...I have not done this before but I wanted to give a shout out to my sister Susannah who had a birthday yesterday! She is now 23 years old. Here are some pictures that I have of when she came to visit me in Hawaii and also some random ones that have been taken over the last year. I hope you had a great birthday and I can not wait to come home for your wedding! It is going to be so much fun. Happy Birthday! Love you!!!

Snow on Easter!

It has absolutely been TOO LONG since I have last sent out a update. Things have really been kind of crazy around here. Chris deployed about a month ago to Afghanistan. He is doing well but the kids miss him really badly. We have had a lot of sickness in our house also, which has been hard. But, we have recovered from that but are still keeping busy with soccer season coming to a close and with baseball season just kicking off, piano lessons are still going on along with other activities that come up. Needless to say, we are staying VERY busy. Over Easter break I took the kids and a neighbor berry picking. We had so much fun! We picked so many strawberries. I have frozen about 12 bags full in the freezer and we gave away a lot also. We went crazy with the berry picking. We all had fun and I got to enjoy sharing this new experience with the kids.
I thought I would send out a picture of us in a Bluebonnet field. The Bluebonnets are in full bloom right now, which makes everything look just beautiful. My mom was able to come and visit me for a few days and she took this picture for us. Thank you so much, mama for coming to see me, I had a great time.
It actually SNOWED the day before Easter (Saturday, April 7,2007). This is a picture of a field with bluebonnets covered in snow.
This is the large snow coming down. I am out there in my short sleeves because I had already packed up most of my winter clothes but I did wear a jacket when I went out to play in it. It was so much fun to get to see snow, especially in Texas in April. It was crazy!
This is a picture of my friends Barb, Jenna, Jeff, Karen and me after going out to supper in the snow. We later had a snow ball fight and just had a great time enjoying the snow. It ended up snowing 3 1/2 inches here. It was great!

Some things you can pray for:
1) Our soldiers that are deployed and that are going to deploy. The 3 month extension has really been discouraging for many soldiers and their families. Pray for perseverance, peace, protection, and understanding for them and their families.
2) For Hill Country Church, PCA to be able to find another facility to meet in. We were able to get a extension on the building we are using, for now, but desperately need another place to meet.
3) For the Bible Study I am facilitating on Thursday mornings. That we would use it as a outreach opportunity and that God would continue to teach us in His Word.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support. You have been an encouragement to me. I love you all!

"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ" 1 Thessalonians 4:2-3
