Hill Country

"Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, that in everything you were enriched in Him in all speech, and all knowledge, even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:3-9

May God continue to bless Hill Country Presbyterian Church, PCA. They have been such a blessing to me through the adjustment time of the move and with everything. I pray that the Lord would continue to use Lou Best, the pastor, and his wife, Shirley to further the Kingdom of God. Please pray for this group as many of the soldiers have been and will be deploying soon. Also for their families that they will be leaving behind. Please also pray for the continuing growth and of the church group. It is currently a Sunday evening Bible Study. We are going through the Book of John but hopefully we will be able to launch formal worship soon.

You know, It is sometimes so hard to think about being away from all who knew me growing up, everyone I have recently met and have become friends with, and my family but when we have Christ in our lives there is always family close by us. It is remarkable to see how a common bond can bring so many people together. People from such different backgrounds and geographic areas that have Christ as their focus and thier Father. "Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever" Eph 3:20-21

Comments:
Your blog made me think of that hymn, "In Christ there is no East or West; in Him no South or North, but one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide world." (or something like that :)) We're finding that to be true in AU also. Thanking God for the blood of Christ which binds us together!

This is so awesome--we were just praying at the Young and Restless this past Sunday that you would find a good church in Belton! "The prayers of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16); praise be to God that, through His Son, even an unrighteous man such as I am can have prayers answered by the Almighty!
