Hangin out
We have this amazing treehouse! It is two stories high and the kids like to play in it. They have many adventures such as playing pirates, taking the other captive, and play like it is a great ship taking sail for a lost treasure. They get dressed up in the proper attire and go have a great time. Yesterday Joshua told me that his friends at school and he had enough money saved up in the bank to build a castle. He was so excited about it! Sydney kept asking "Josh, how are you going to eat and how are you going to take care of yourselves?" I guess you can do anything when you are seven and do not have any care in the world except to purchase the house of your dreams and live there with all your friends. Wouldn't that be the life?
"Children have neither a past nor a future. Thus they enjoy the present-- which seldom happens to us."
-- Jean de La Bruyère. This quote reminds me when I was in 3rd and 4th grade, my friends Megan Workman, Eve Wells, Lyndsey Wham, and Meg Freeborn; we would go play on the playground at Anderson Christian School. We would have so many different adventures with pipe cleaner "worm families", taking trips back and forth to our imaginary "heaven", chasing boys, letting the boys chase us, dress-up, and so much more. Those were the days! It really is amazing that those days have made us into the women that we are today. I hope your day is filled with adventures and lots of care-free moments.
